Nepotism is defined as the practice among those with power or influence of favouring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs.Nepotism is based on favoritism granted to relatives in various fields, including business, politics, entertainment, sports, religion and other activities.
Nepotism isnt a bad thing , but it is an orientation with definite limitations.
Today, we use nepotism to refer to the hiring or promotion of a family member (including in-laws), and it smacks of favoritism. Indeed, the hiring of relatives in some companies is forbidden by company policy. However, in family-owned businesses, nepotism is often viewed as natural and expected. So, the big question is whether nepotism in business is a good or a bad thing? Unfortunately, there is no simple answer.
Taking nepotism in Bollywood for example .
We can blame the producers , directors and casting teams all we want , but the fact of the matter is , we are also to be blamed .
There is a reason why star kids get lead roles in movies easily but self made struggling actors can't even get auditions to prove their worth . One of the biggest reasons is the audience. The audience is more interested in who the daughter of their favorite actor is dating, than who is actually talented . People would rather watch a star kid perform terribly than an actor , whom they dont know of , give the best acting performance of their lives .
So yes , the audience is at fault here.
Star kids get more attention, therefore launching them is better for business.
A terrible movie like Student of the Year 2 earned hundreds of crores , even though it was heavily panned by critics and audience alike and it holds a rating of 7% on Rotten tomatoes. While a movie like Sonchiriya which was praised by every critic earned 6 crore .
In 2018 , one of the best thrillers in indian history , Tumbbad was released and earned about 13 crores , while Dhadak , earned ten times more .
Another example was War in 2019 which earned 475 crores , total dhamaal which earned 223 crore , housefull 4 with 278 crore and bharat with 325 crore .

1. Sonam Kapoor .
Sonam Kapoor is nepotism at its worst .
Not only is she a terrible actress , but she also seems to be delusional as according to her , she is an icon . Her statements about her acting talent are hilarious.
I'll tell you why I chose her as number 1 on this list , let's take "ek ladki ko dekha toh aisa laga" for example . There was one specific scene in the end , which was extremely emotional as the main lead played by Sonam was coming out . This was a scene that could very easily make the whole audience sob . But sonam's performance was simply terrible. It was a very important scene and disappointment is all I could feel. She was not convincing enough. (That's the nicest way I could put it in)
2.Arjun Kapoor
Just like his sister Sonam , Arjun Kapoor is one of the worst actors in Bollywood. He is simply terrible. But he keeps getting work because of his fan following. I will confess that I like Arjun , but he needs to either learn acting or give it up , because watching him try to act is awful and sad.
3.Janhvi Kapoor
Another one of the Kapoor cousins is Janhvi Kapoor and unfortunately, she is no better. I was very excited to see Janhvi's debut movie Dhadak but I was just disappointed. It felt like ishaan would build up the scene and janhvi ruined it every time . And to know that after that performance, not only did she win several awards , but she also has gotten much more work, is just sad .
4.Ananya Pandey
I wouldn't lie , I actually really liked ananya. She was honest , fun and self aware . But her debut film Student of the year 2 was just miserable. Even though she looked beautiful, her performance was very unimpressive. And then , Pati patni aur woh was no better . The only good thing about that movie was Bhumi Pednekar .
I love what Annanya is doing with So Positive. But I dont think acting is for her .
5. Karan Deol
Karan Deol's debut was just embarrassing. For what he did , I dont even think that acting is the right word to describe it .
I just know one thing for sure , karan Deol CAN NOT act .
6.Sara Ali Khan
I honestly really loved Sara's debut . She was the star of the show in Kedarnath. But in Simba , she didnt leave an impact and was very forgettable. But Love Aaj kal proved that she cant act . She was just terrible as zoe. Her performance wasnt believable because it felt like she was trying too hard .
7.Athiya Shetty
Athiya Shetty made her Bollywood debut in Hero . The movie was abysmal and honestly Athiya was no better . Athiya is pretty and an amazing dancer but I dont think that acting is what she is made for .
8.Suraj Pancholi
Suraj made his debut with Athiya in Hero . He was honestly terrible . Just like Athiya , I don't think that acting is for him .
9.Tiger Shroff
Tiger is an amazing person . He is extremely talented and good looking as well . But the one thing he lacks is acting talent . He can not act but unlike the other actors I mentioned in the list , I like seeing him onscreen. I hope he learns how to act , but that doesnt cover up the fact that so far his performances have been awful .
10.Harshvardhan Kapoor
Another one of the Kapoor cousins is Harsh . Harsh is definitely better at acting than his sister Sonam but that doesnt mean that he is good . His performances so far have not been impressive but I do feel that he has some potential?
